The Masu wool throw comes in a generous format in high-quality New Zealand pure new wool. Soft and warm for long, cosy evenings, and during the day a characterful accent on the sofa or bed.
Big enough for two
At 140 × 200 cm, Masu is more generously sized than most throws. It reaches from chin to toes and offers enough room for two to get comfortable.
Masu was created in collaboration with the textile design studio Meyers & Fügmann. Their many years of experience with textiles and how they are processed formed the basis for our shared creative vision.
“Weaving creates a textile row by row. With Masu, we break up this rigid structure with flowing colour transitions and set them in tense contrast to the clear graphic pattern of 12 squares.”
New Zealand stands for wool of exceptional quality: the sheep live on wide pastures all year round, and their wool is light, elastic and pleasantly soft. We use 100% pure new wool, certified to the Woolmark standard and the Wool Integrity NZ animal welfare standard.
Traceable
The sheep not only live on pastures all year round. Every batch of wool can also be traced back to the farm where it was grown.
Animal welfare
The sheep are free from hunger and thirst, from discomfort, from pain, injury and disease, from fear and distress, and free to express their natural behaviour.
Independently audited
The farms are certified under the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme (NZFAP) and independently audited by the accredited certification body QCONZ.
Mulesing-free
The wool is mulesing-free, as mulesing has been banned by law in New Zealand since 2018.
Quality tested
Every bale of wool is tested for quality by an independent laboratory (NZWTA).
Made for many years
Wool is a renewable raw material and remarkably resilient. Its elastic fibres recover again and again, so the throw keeps its shape. With a little care, it will be with you for many years.
Wool regulates temperature naturally: it stores warmth, absorbs moisture and releases it again. This creates a cosy warmth without overheating, in winter as well as on mild summer evenings.
Wool neutralises odours naturally and is naturally dirt-resistant. Instead of washing, it is usually enough to simply air the throw outdoors. This is gentle on the fibres and makes everyday life easier.
If it does need washing: hand wash at up to 30 °C with wool detergent, dry flat.
Made in Europe
Our wool throw is made in the EU. With care, to high quality and social standards, and with short distances to you. Certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100: tested for harmful substances, so you can snuggle up and relax.
